Maison Murri is built on the relationships with our farmers. While sourcing we only choose healthy grapes that are grown in living soils. Wines are made with respect to the grapes and are not made in styles which the grapes are typically commercially sold.
Harvested on September 13th, 2024, this Sauvignon Rytos (Clone UD.55-100) from Vinemount Ridge was grown on clay-loam soils laced with silt and shale. Wild-fermented and left to do its thing, it aged 13 months in stainless steel, with half spending 6 months in old 225L French oak (3rd and 10th fill). The wine rested on fine lees, untouched—no filtering, no fining, and just a whisper of sulphur at press and racking. Full malolactic, pure expression. Raw, textural, and quietly seductive.
